It’s designed for teams of four students to compete against each other and has three rounds. The competition is open to teams from schools anywhere in the world, however teams from schools based outside the UK are only able to take part in round one of the challenge.Teams invest their virtual money in a set of stocks and other investment instruments and they must create two portfolios:The Active Investor portfolio allows teams to trade every day.The Strategic Investor portfolio only allows a limited number of trades per month, encouraging long term thinking.Teams have a virtual to invest in each portfolio.

ABOUT FRANCIS MONROE
Accountancy appeals to me as I enjoy solving complex problems which test my brain such as cash flow, where I need to determine a solution to stop a business losing money. I find complex problems interesting due to my interest in mathematics, and what I most enjoy about accountancy is the finance side which involves mathematics. I like analysing financial data, making decisions which would result in money growth or reduction of outflows or liabilities. Since the age of 17 I have had shares in Deliveroo and Lloyd’s bank because I felt those companies’ shares will be secure and I can see potential in the share price going up very high in the market.
