My role as a Piping Design Stress Engineer at ISAT is to achieve code compliance according to ASME B31 pipe stress analysis using hand calculations and analytical methods with software to evaluate sustained, pressure, displacement range and occasional loading requirements as outlined in Chapter 2 of ASME B31.1. The base software we use is AutoPIPE but also coordinate and communicate with clients in a 3D environment using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Fabrication CADMEP, Navisworks, etc. Also performing support designs using Solidworks, RISA- 3D or hand calculations through excel or Mathcad.
