The roles demand close working relationships with all business service and legal team leads, Directors, legal and operational colleagues to embed improvement, grow knowledge and support sustainable business success. Responsibilities include: internal audit; external audit; incident investigation; supporting Risk and Audit Committee; Board presentations; Assurance Team line management; ISO certificates (14001, 9001); audit of business continuity and information security standards 22301 and 27001; contractor appointment; budget handling; recruitment/interviewing; improvements and innovation; championing change; data verification; C-suite briefings. I also drive the firm\'s ambitious environmental agenda, which has a natural fit with assurance with both falling under the ESG umbrella. This includes policy and strategy; legal compliance and reporting; contributions to bids, pitches, press responses; training and mentoring; chairing core team of environmental ambassadors (including 4 Partners) that serves as the governing body for environmental progress. Having developed and gained Board approval for the firm’s sustainability/ESG strategy I am now implementing the change and responsible for external sustainability reporting.
