Working in partnership with and Awarding bodies ACCA - AAT - CIMA - IAB - VCTC - ICB and partner Universities to bring accountancy qualifications in to the 21st Century and give learners work ready skills which will increase their employability. There is also the need to enable businesses to get better information from their accounting systems.I started this venture in 2005 appalled at the way some of the businesses I visited as a business advisor and finance consultant used and misused their accounting software. In addition, employers had no measure of a person’s ability to operate their software when recruiting. As a result they sometimes employed people with poor skills who claimed to have abilities they did not possess which, consequently, had a disastrous effect on the business. I saw the need to create Industry Standards and give real life Bench-marked Skills for Work Place Employability and thus Sage Qualifications was created using Sage software as our industry standard due to its presence in the market, however, the skills gained are transferrable to any accounting software package.We work at HE L4 /L5 and RQF L1 - L3 to deliver content, testing and certification via a Moodle eLearning platform for employability and self-employment skills and qualifications. We deliver remote invigilated testing and have developed Algorithmic testing - supported by Innovate UK We are also proud to be working within Prisons with RQF courses and qualifications delivered in hard copy format where we have outstanding achievement and completion rates. Empirical evidence shows the learners who possess our Sage UK certification are significantly more employable or more likely to go into
