With over two decades of senior experience in finance, accounting, and organisational leadership, I specialise in strengthening financial strategy, improving operational performance, and guiding complex organisations through sustainable growth.My career began in accountancy roles across the accountancy practice, energy, creative, housing sectors, and education where I developed deep expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, compliance, and long term planning. This strong technical foundation has shaped my approach as a leader, combining rigorous financial analysis with strategic insight and practical delivery.In my senior roles at the University of Dundee, including my current post as School Manager for the School of Medicine, I provide strategic oversight of finance, people, governance, and operations. I lead a £70m+ budget planning, improve financial processes, enhance resource allocation, and support evidence based decision making across teaching, research, and clinical partnerships. I am trusted for my ability to translate complex financial information into clear strategic direction for senior leaders, academics, and external partners.Alongside financial leadership, I am recognised for building high-performing teams, delivering organisational change, and improving service quality in large, multifaceted environments. My experience spans workforce planning, risk management, policy development, and cross sector collaboration.A Fellow of ACCA, PRINCE2 Practitioner, and now completing my Professional Doctorate (DBA), I bring a rare blend of financial expertise, strategic and operational leadership.
