Lead the technical direction, system architecture, and cross-functional execution for Digi’s XON solution—driving innovation across embedded, edge, and cloud layers to enable scalable IoT platforms and intelligent connected devices.• Own the technical roadmap for Digi’s OEM XON solution, aligning engineering execution with product strategy to accelerate revenue growth and recurring ARR.• Architect and develop end-to-end systems including embedded firmware and hardware, Linux-based gateways, and cloud integration.• Lead delivery across embedded software, hardware, and cloud teams, ensuring high-quality releases for Digi’s XON solution, XBee, HX gateways, IEC (Intelligent Edge Controller), and other IoT products.• Research, prototype and pitch emerging technologies (e.g, edge AI) directly to Product and Business leadership.• Mentor and guide engineers on scalable architecture, design patterns, and development best practices across disciplines.• Introduce and optimize engineering processes to increase team velocity and maintain product quality standards.• Collaborate with Business Directors, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams including RF, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to align on roadmap execution.• Manage and grow a team of direct reports and external contractors to deliver high-impact features and strategic initiatives.• Advance innovation at the intersection of edge AI, embedded systems, and cloud integration—initiating Digi’s internal AIoT Council to guide future AI-enabled product strategy.
