ABOUT FEIGA KHUTORETSKY
I am a recent graduate of SUNY Oswego, and I received my Bachelor\'s in Broadcasting and Mass Communication. I am actively seeking a role across the areas of communications, marketing, human rights, and writing, and I am open to opportunities that align with my goals. I\'m from Brooklyn, NY, and I\'m passionate about sharing people\'s stories, amplifying voices that are not heard enough, and connecting people to essential resources. This passion has guided me towards my current path within communications, and specifically within the non-profit sector. From a young age, I have been fascinated by the craft of good writing and understanding how to best tell a story. This, combined with my dedication to serving my community, pushed me to develop my communication skills further to pursue the fields of human rights and communications. This culminated in a Marketing and Grant Writing internship with CNY Fair Housing that provided real-life experience in education and advocacy for housing rights. I have worked for about six years in freelance editing, mainly editing college application essays, resumes, and online articles. I am also a CRLA-certified tutor, having worked both for the Office of Learning Services on my campus and for private tutoring. On campus, I was the President of Jewish Life Oswego and served as the Director of Programming for Laker Poets Society and Section Editor for Her Campus. I also hosted and produced the WTOP-10 TV show Major Discussions. My hobbies include reading memoirs, writing slam poetry, and listening to all kinds of music. I also enjoy volunteering for causes that are important to me, such as education equity, environmental issues, and poverty alleviation.
