Senior structural engineer with twenty years of design experience and skilled in all phases of structural design of various types of structures including bridges, retaining walls and deep foundations. Engineering design experience includes prestressed concrete and steel bridges. Familiar with the high seismic and high wind structural design and familiar with the development of specifications, technical drawings and cost estimates. Excellent technical ability resolving sophisticated structural and geo-structural problems. In full charge of design for a 1420-foot heavy duty steel bridge across a channel of the Colville River of Alaska, which was named the 2016 Top 10 Bridges No.2 by Roads and Bridges Magazine and won AISC NSBA 2018 Mid-Span Bridge Award. Have extensive construction experience by serving as lead field engineer and/or quality control on several multi-million civil infrastructure projects, including launching of the first and longest bridge north of Arctic Circle. Joined Volkert, Inc since 2018. Have served as Structural Task Lead for the $605 million TxDOT IH35 CapEx-N project since 2020. Also served as the structural design coordinator for the $750 million I10/US69 Interchange Cardinal Section project to assist managing a design team of 22 engineers and CADD from nine different Volkert offices nationwide. Currently leading the structural design of the second Eastex section of I10/US69.Currently registered Professional Engineer in Alaska, Texas, California and Washington. Registered Structural Engineer in Alaska, California, Illinois, Utah and Washington. Pre-certified by TxDOT for 5.1.1 Minor Bridge design, 5.2.1 Major Bridge design and 11.2.1 Major Bridge Construction, Management and Inspection.
