ABOUT FEDERICO J. VICO

Fede is an internationally awarded copywriter, originally from Argentina and currently working as a freelance creative. He is also co-founder of Creative Container, a freelance collective of experienced creatives & filmmakers shipping ideas worldwide. At Container he mixes content and advertising. Together with Whisky Films, Federico is developing “Albumentary”, his first original digital content. And if we talk about advertising, this year he had the opportunity to be at Apple’s HQ and work for the new digital iPhone campaign for the Latin-American market. Previously he worked at DDB Germany for 2 years and a half, where he had the chance to win 3 Gold Lions -Outdoor Craft Copywriting- and 3 Silver -Outdoor Campaign- for the Ikea campaign \"Decisions\". And before that he worked at Ogilvy Germany for 2 years, where he also got recognition at several awards. Early on, Federico started his career in Argentina as an intern at LaFusión. He then switched to El Cielo, where he had the opportunity to work with Ramiro Agulla and Carlos Baccetti, the creative couple who \"refound\" Argentinean advertising in the 90´s. Two years later, he moved to Ponce Buenos Aires, one of the most creative agencies in the LOWE network. After three and a half years, in which a seed grew inside his heart & mind, he finally decided to start a new adventure. He moved to Germany with a bag full of winter clothes and a couple of contacts. Lucky for him, he started working at Ogilvy Düsseldorf soon after he moved. During the last 14 years brands like Apple, Persil, Ikea, Volkswagen, OPPO, Coca-Cola, Amazon Gaming, Deutsche Telekom, Philips Global, Hyundai, Unilever, Axe, Rexona, Stella Artois, Cartoon Network, Sony Entertainment TV and Pepsico Mexico kept him entertained for hours, and hours and extra hours. And some weekends, too. Agencies he worked as freelancer: AKQA, Jung von Matt (Sports + Neckar + Start), Grabarz & Partner, DDB, Innocean Berlin, BBDO Berlin, Grey, TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, David, TBWA/MediaArtsLAb, Butter, and counting. He was recognized in major advertising festivals such as Cannes Lions, One Show, ADC, Europe ADC, Ojo de Iberoamerica, Wave Festival, El Diente, FIAP and Premios Clarín. When he is not working or writing in third person, Federico also likes to shoot short films and video clips. Indeed, his last documentary is currently touring through festivals and has already been nominated in some competitions. Ah, last but not least. Federico is in love with Messi.
