ABOUT FEDERICO BARBERA

Graduated in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan in 2010, after a short internship at Bosch, I began my working career at Enel, where for the first 5 years I had the opportunity to cover various roles within the company between Milan and Rome, perfecting important skills such as tender management, negotiation, contractual formalization and team work management in different international contexts (Italy, Russia, Peru, Brazil and Chile). Once the Enel Italia chapter was closed, the subsequent experience in Chile was particularly formative, where I lived for 5 years, during which, as head of renewables procurement, I was lucky enough to develop important skills including consolidation and coordination of multidisciplinary teams, problem solving on critical situations and complex projects, planning of the entire procurement area. Upon returning to Italy, in addition to starting a family with two beautiful children (Rafael and Augusta), I started working on a passionate project that still keeps me busy. In fact, we are building the largest European solar panel factory in Catania. The factory will start producing by 2024 and, in detail, I dealt with both the project phase and the implementation of the supply chain. The project is challenging as it deals with a difficult market and ruthless competition, therefore it is necessary to work daily on ingenuity, creativity, proactivity and the optimization of results in order to reach the final goal.
