Assistant Director, Refugee & Immigrant Health @UC San Diego Health

Launched in 2017, the Refugee and Immigrant Health (RIH) unit at the Center for Community Health within the UCSD Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) serves as an institutional and community-centered resource hub. RIH deploys evidence-based health practices, technical assistance and training, capacity-building, and research to support of refugee and immigrant communities in San Diego County and across California. We aim to reduce, and ultimately eliminate, health disparities in our community and their root causes, including social determinants of health. Our mission is to co-create culturally responsive approaches that promote health equity and well-being in refugee and immigrant communities. Our vision is a world in which everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity or socioeconomic background, has a fair and just opportunity for wellness and health.As Assistant Director of Refugee & Immigrant Health, provide high-level leadership and analytical expertise to advance the mission of RIH, including developing and implementing policies, programs, and initiatives that address the unique needs of immigrant and refugee communities; promoting operational excellence and program effectiveness; and delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed services to underserved populations.
