After 9 months in the procurement dept as Purchasing Specialist I was promoted Head of Procurement, role that includes the following tasks- Create and implement best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance- Overall responsibility for procurement and cost analysis and assessment across the business- Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers (framework agreements) to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms- Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship, negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level and implement and execute evaluation processes to measure effective supplier performance and compliance- Work with the CEO in order to implement strategies into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives- Oversee the purchase order approval process, in order to control costs and ensure that the purchase is routed to preferred suppliers with preferred pricing.
