WORK HISTORY
Area Lead Operations @Worldline
Lyon, FR
In my current position, I oversee three Operations chapters and four Service Delivery Managers distributed across Europe (France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria) and India. My main mission is to ensure that SRE talent, application managers, and technical engineers are placed into squads, facilitating effective management of platform setup and management, software deployment, monitoring, and security. My objectives are to standardize and streamline production processes for incident and change management, as well as monitoring, deployment, security, and compliance, to optimize quality and cost within the acquiring perimeter of Worldline. I also manage crises related to all these topics.I lead the organizational and operational shift from a traditional Waterfall environment to an agile DevOps and squad-based organization. This transition involves technical aspects such as moving from legacy infrastructure to cloud platforms (GCP or our internal private cloud) and increasingly using Infrastructure as Code solutions. Equally important is the human aspect, ensuring that our team members are part of this transition by developing or acquiring new skills.Lastly, I oversee the budget of my area and participate in various product steering committees and extended committees to make sure our area is aligned with our strategic goals.

ABOUT FABIEN FLEURIER
At the beginning I developed software and now I manage an area of SRE. In the meantime, there have been successes, failures and challenges. In the 25 years that I have been in Worldline, it has evolved a lot. Corporate culture is fundamental to me and the one at Worldline is consisting in advancing its employees, developing team spirit and leaving time to manage family life as well as possible. All these correspond well to my character and I am very sensitive to it because it is in this healthy atmosphere that we can manage the challenge of our missions in the best possible way. From my first mission the stakes were high; important obviously for my company and its customers, but also for society in general faced with the digital transformation of our lives.Participating in the Géoportail v2 adventure( digital maps management), automatic radars, the implementation of the software architecture to manage electronic bracelets, or the technical architecture of Drive websites (especially during lockdown) are all examples that come to mind. With my role as manager, new aspects have been added: no longer supporting only technical change but also human and organizational changes, instilling a team spirit and helping to find solutions for my collaborators when personal life encroaches on the professional.It\'s a daily struggle, crises are frequent but my teams are available to deliver the best service and the best technical architecture possible, despite the unforeseen!Do not hesitate to contact me if you want more information
