ABOUT EVIE EVAN SUNSHINE
I am a J.D. candidate in my 1L year at Fordham University School of Law. I am focusing my legal studies in worker-side labor and employment law and union organizing. Particularly, I am interested in examining labor and employment law through the lens of intersectionality and how workers\' rights are intrinsically intertwined with civil rights. I am a Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law and Ethics.Before law school, I attended Cornell University and graduated in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations, as well as a minor in Public Policy. During my time at Cornell, I was recognized as a Tradition Fellow for my dedication to community and campus service. I simultaneously became involved with the labor movement and led successful unionization efforts. As a worker-leader, I participated in collective bargaining negotiations, facilitated internal and external relations, and organized solidarity actions with students and allies.
