I am a Sustainability Risk Lead at Amazon within Worldwide Sustainability. Responsible for the establishing, scaling, and maintaining of Amazon\'s climate and ESG impact, risk, and opportunity assessment and management programs across operations globally. Some of my key responsibilities include- Leading Amazon’s first Impact, Risk, and Opportunity (IRO) double-materiality assessments across Circular Economy (FY24), and Climate Change (FY25). This included transition risk modelling, briefing VP-level stakeholders, and conducting detailed due diligence of various programs and their associated risks. These assessments enable Amazon to meet Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements for the first time- Designing and implementing ESG Risk’s Stakeholder Engagement strategy for 2024-25 ESG reporting. Streamlining reporting engagement across multiple programs under one mechanism- Providing coaching and upskilling on ESG impact, risk, and opportunity assessments, including best practices and CSRD / ISSB requirements, to enable senior stakeholders, including executives, to align with evolving regulatory expectations and key decisions required- Designing and implementing scalable processes across the organisation for ongoing monitoring and assessment of emerging ESG risks and opportunities.
