ABOUT EDGAR SEVILLA CASTAÑEDA

I was born in Mexico, in a small village called Santa Anita close to Guadalajara city.Since I was a kid, I was a nerdy and restless, and when my dad brought home our first Computer I just got fascinated. My world has a complete change. It was the first spark of a small dream that never thought I was landing in this amazing journey.Before venturing into the field of Engineering, I gained valuable experience in different industries (as a PC repair technician, Greenhouse employee, waiter, and even vegetable picker). These experiences taught me the importance of communication, hard work, adaptability, and perseverance.Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work for several Tier-1 companies in Mexico, US, Spain, and Germany, in multiple roles mostly in the left side of the V-cycle. This has provided me with a global perspective and a diverse range of experiences. My areas of expertise include Leadership, Software Architecture, Cybersecurity, Safety, Quality, and Agility.I\'m currently working in Germany for Magna Electronics, where I lead a team of SW architects in a very dynamic and complex environment for developing front-camera systems.In addition to my professional pursuits, I am passionate about helping others but also learning from others. I believe in the power of collaboration and enjoy engaging in discussions on various topics. Whether it\'s technology, family, finance, geopolitics, or investments, I find joy in exchanging ideas over a beer or cup of coffee.Outside of work, I am a dedicated family man. I am proud to be the father of two wonderful kids, a boy and a girl. Balancing my work and personal life is important to me, and I make it a priority to always be present for my family. I\'m blessed of being part of this amazing Team.Photography is also one of my greatest joys. I particularly enjoy capturing moments while traveling with my wife, who is a professional photographer. Another of my hobbies is helping my wife with photo editing and retouching using Photoshop.Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
