In this new role, I will support both the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation\'s Hudson River Estuary Management Program (HREMP) and the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve (HRNERR). As one of 30 national reserves established by NOAA, HRNERR consists of four tidal wetland sites along the Hudson River Estuary. As the HRNERR Training Sector Lead, I will grow community partnerships and implement workshops and forums that address regional needs and interests. In short, my work aims to connect the outputs and outcomes of HRNERR science programs and projects to decision making.I will collaborate across the HREMP\'s four program areas to facilitate communications and build greater awareness of the DEC\'s work throughout the Hudson River Estuary. My work with the HREMP will support the Action Agenda, an interdisciplinary roadmap for a strong and vibrant estuary ecosystem.
