ABOUT ERIK M.

I am an executive producer, with a degree in Film and Video and a postgraduate degree in Screenwriting. Currently, I am in the process of writing my thesis for a PhD in Content Distribution from the University of Cambridge. I have 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, producing and distributing content for film and TV, as well as OTT platforms.In I co-founded the production company E Corp Studio, with which I have produced 11 feature films, 4 TV series, and over 30 shorts of various genres. From 2012 to 2022, I held the position of General Director with managerial functions. In 2019, my experience led me to produce the documentary \"AzTechSat-1\" for NASA, on the occasion of the first satellite that achieved intercommunication in the GlobalStar constellation.My film and television projects have been featured in 52 international festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, where I received a Palme d\'Or for Best Short, and the Sundance Film Festival, where I received the Audience Award. I received the Mexican Institute of Cinematography\'s Production Quality Support award twice, which allowed me to be an invited mentor for projects from the Netflix/Ambulante fund.In my early years, I was part of Apple Mexico, where I worked as a Brand Evangelist, giving product presentations at major events such as Macworld and ExpoMac, and later leading professional application training. This led me to be part of the team that won an Emmy in 2006 for the development of the Quicktime architecture for Streaming. I have also shared my experience through teaching in nine higher education institutions, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.My knowledge includes completing Diplomas in Finance, Art Direction, and Branding, as well as seminars in Commercialization and Production Route. I have an international certification in Color Grading and experience as a Script Doctor in Pitch and project development, Marketing, festivals and distribution routes.Among my skills are effective communication, adaptability, time management, and strategic thinking. I have proven experience in team leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation, and analysis for decision making in ambiguous environments. I have extensive experience in global products and a deep understanding of the nuances of Latin culture.
