ABOUT ERIC JOHNSSON
I am an experienced government affairs, policy and communications specialist with strong skills in stakeholder management, advocacy and strategy in the life sciences sector. Before relocating from the UK to Australia, I worked with biotech entrepreneurs, investors, and government officials to leverage more private and public investment into the UK’s world-leading biotech sector. I led a multi-year campaign which resulted in the Government relaunching an important £60m grant programme for biotech SMEs. For much of the pandemic, I coordinated the BioIndustry Association Antibody Taskforce, a world-leading consortium of biotech SMEs, charities and academia, which ran the fastest ever antibody discovery process in the UK with the aim of developing an antibody therapy for COVID-19.In 2016, I completed a Master of Laws in International Economic Law with Distinction at the University of Edinburgh. I graduated with Honours in Politics and International Studies from Murdoch University in Australia in 2014.
