ABOUT ERICA GILLESPIE FLAGG
I am a marketing strategy and capabilities leader with over 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry, seeking to apply my experiences to help other life science companies build and evolve their marketing strategy and capabilities. I started my career as an investment banker raising private equity for small to mid sized life sciences companies. What I loved most about this role, was marketing the transaction and trying to figure out who was the right investor for the deal, so I went to business school to receive a formal education in marketing and move to the healthcare industry. When it comes to life sciences marketing, I love learning about all the different customers, understanding what they value, and figuring out how to engage with them in a way that will change their attitudes and behavior.I have been a consumer, patient, and HCP marketer, and refined my marketing craft through nearly 10 years in the vaccines division of a Fortune 500 global pharmaceuticals company. I also led capability-building programs in both big Pharma and a leading medical device company to help evolve marketing competencies and capabilities for a global and digital world.
