I give presentations to all sorts of organisations (mostly voluntary and educational groups) on some fascinating topics. They include the real story of Sydney Opera House (a tale of personal tragedy); the history of battery electric commercial vehicles in Britain (which have been continuously on the road there since the 1890s); how we misunderstand \'form follows function\' in design; and the stirring story of the 1957/58 Commonwealth Transantarctic Expedition (almost completely forgotten, yet the first crossing via the South Pole).
