I manage communications for the Sonoma County Office of Education, a role that includes a blend of media management, public relations, employee communications, and coordinating messaging between our office and 40 public school districts that serve nearly students. Before joining SCOE, I spent more than 20 years in community journalism, half of that in leadership roles for a Pulitzer prize-winning newsroom. While I was deputy managing editor, The Press Democrat won a 2018 Pulitzer for breaking news coverage of the North Bay wildfires the year before. I have experience coordinating production, managing teams of journalists, directing coverage of major breaking news stories, troubleshooting technical issues and hiring and developing talent. I\'m known for being cool under pressure, working my tail off and having fun while doing it.
