Focal point for management/coordination with all groups (Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing) deriving the optimum supplier selection based on total cost of ownership.\\\\n• Assist in the establishment of supplier selection and development activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI), Prototype and Production business. Supplier selection and development activities encompass all mechanical commodities such as sheet metal, plastic, die cast, and machining, as well as any other related fabricated items encompassing other/new processes in the industry.\\\\n• Responsibilities include:\\\\n• Market monitoring and trend update.\\\\n• Regular business reviews with key suppliers.\\\\n• Identify and cultivate new suppliers for total cost reduction opportunities.\\\\n• Identifying and managing programs for cost reduction/localization of preferred supplier(s) suited for fabricated parts in line with customers’ needs for localization.\\\\n• Initiate supplier quality management/improvements. Ratings, measurements, delivery vs. quality, etc. Acquisition of supplier in-process data, evaluating process capability, arranging regular status conference calls etc. Timely reporting of vendor performance for improvement.\\\\n• Ship to stock program or reduction of control points reducing dock to stock time, etc to shorten lead-time.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
