ABOUT ERIC FISCHER
I am a third-year Computer Science student in the College of Engineering at Penn State University with a strong interest in software development and quality assurance. I have experience programming in Java, Python, and C through college coursework, along with prior experience in Swift and Java.I recently completed a Quality Assurance contracting role with Retrieve Technologies, where I worked collaboratively in a remote team environment. I used the JIRA ticketing system to report and track bugs, performed regression and sprint testing, and contributed to ensuring smooth releases within an agile workflow.In addition to my technical experience, I am a member of the Penn State Men’s Club Soccer Team. Balancing athletics with a rigorous engineering curriculum has strengthened my time management, teamwork, and accountability. Previously, as a captain of my high school soccer team, I developed leadership and communication skills that I continue to apply in academic and professional settings.I am eager to continue building my technical skill set while contributing to collaborative, fast-paced teams.
