ABOUT ERIC CAURI

I took a chance—my family took a chance—and I boarded a KLM flight from Jomo Kenyatta to Schipol to Vancouver. That was August 2014. Fast forward to May 2020, I graduated—and not just any graduation—but a COVID ONLINE Graduation! The world’s first. could be worse I guess. By God’s sovereign grace I graduated with a job, partly contributed by a strong and developed resume consisting of 24 months of industry related Co-op work experience at 3 of Canada’s most competitive mining companies- Teck Resources, Fording River Mine, Sep 2016-April 2017 - Goldcorp/Newmont, Red Lake, May 2018-Dec 2018 - Suncor Energy, Calgary HQ, Jan 2019-Aug 2019 All I wanted was to make some big boy money, take care of my family and drive a Benz all day. I did all that. But because I was working a 2-weeks on and 2-weeks off schedule, I could only drive the Benz half a month. And this was unacceptable. And I came to find out that Big Boy money comes at a price, so I wasn’t willing to pay it. No—I wanted BIG BIG boy money instead, so I quit my job only after ensuring I had closed a deal that would allow me to replace my big boy money with a slightly smaller baby money that would eventually over time grow big enough to be a BIG BIG BIG BIG boy money, bigger than the other big boys. So I sold my Benz, and became a business owner. It’s as tough as others say it is—being in business. But just like any other contact sport, with the right attitude, skills and strategy, you can thrive and win amidst the chaos. As you can tell, I’m not too keen on getting employed so I am choosing an alternative bio profile format that tells my story in a unique and interesting way. I’m hardworking and determined, and I would be blessed to have the opportunity to serve you in any way I can. God bless.
