WORK HISTORY
Scientific Officer @European Commission
IT
Working on Air Quality Modelling, and specifically Integrated Assessment Modelling for air quality. My work is mainly devoted to the analysis of the impact of emission reduction scenarios on air quality and health.Recently, I worked in the development of the SHERPA tool (http://aqm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/sherpa.aspx); and in the development of the SHERPA-city tool (https://integrated-assessment.jrc.ec.europa.eu).Both tools can be used to assess the impact of policies on urban background pollution (SHERPA) and city level pollution (SHERPA-city).Among the other things, these tools have been used to produce the PM2.5 (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/publication/eur-scientific-and-technical-research-reports/urban-pm25-atlas-air-quality-european-cities) and NO2 (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/publication/eur-scientific-and-technical-research-reports/urban-no2-atlas) atlas.Recently I also started collaborating with the EDGAR team, to support the development of subnational level greenhouse gases emissions. And to collaborate with the Covenant of Mayors initiative, to evaluate air quality co-benefits due to local greenhouse gases mitigation measures.
