ABOUT EMMANUEL BLESSED

I’m an A-level student, studying Psychology, Sociology and Geography, aspiring to become a ‘Compliance Specialist’ within the Financial Services Sector.My target is to obtain a (BAEcon in Economics and Sociology) at University of Manchester.Attaining this form of education and learning, will be highly beneficial as, the degree contains interdisciplinary modules, scoping on econometrics, consumer psychology, economic sociology, political principles, and frameworks of accounting and data analytics.all which are key fragments of knowledge, that can be pieced together to formulate a well-rounded candidate in the monetary sphere.In Addition, my A-levels have built the foundation of my journey in GRC via various aspects. Psychology and Social Sciences have formulated my identity. It all began with my interest igniting due to my curiosity in the hidden biology underlying behind everyday social phenomena. As my interests grew in the field of social sciences, I then obtained the ability to apply psychosocial context to real life interventions, and eventually managed to further, apply this interest into political sociology and socio-economic theory. Furthermore, my drive and depthful understanding, can be seen via my various experiences- accounting/investment firms such as KPMG (interning as a cyber-security consultant)- 2 external independent research projects on clinical psychology and social/cognitive neuroscience (peer-reviewed by UoM alumni)- 19-page dissertation on behavioural science thematics & neuropsychological phenomena (specialising in tonic immobility)- Readings on Doctorate Publications orienting behavioural economics, consumer psychology and sociological perspectives in economics- PwC work experience (working closely with associates and partners, specialising in audit and data analytics)(this WEX will commence in August 2026).Therefore, with the integration and application, of my academic theory and experiences, eventually, I may progress from specialising in Financial Compliance Analytics onto Financial Compliance Consulting.
