ABOUT EMMA VIZOR

I am a passionate, motivated, creative, enthusiastic person with experience in a variety of fields including volunteer recruitment, management and development, staff and volunteer training delivery, service development, event organisation, strategy development and management and fundraising. I have experience of working in the third sector and local authority; including working within homelessness services and working with victims of crime. As a past member of a board of trustees I continued to develop my leadership, accountability and decision making skills and my knowledge of the sector. I am a confident presenter, with strong communication and organisational skills and have experience of developing and delivering a variety of training packages, including accredited packages and e-learning (including the use of authoring tools) for both volunteers and staff. Over recent years I have developed a strong background in ensuring the right policies and processes are in place to deliver volunteering effectively, working closely with DPOs and facilities services. I have also developed strong project management skills including in the use of a range of tools and stakeholder engagementand my driven and motivated nature ensures the effective delivery of projects. Recent projects have included developing dashboards to improve reporting and quality of information, the development and implementation of a mentoring scheme and leading on the volunteering workstream for a major corporate partner.I also have experience of using a range of volunteer management systems, including the implementation of these and appropriate development of volunteer journeys and communications.I have a passion for volunteer wellbeing and developing the tools and resources to equip and empower volunteers to make a difference. Recent projects have included developing a volunteer wellbeing offer for service delivery volunteers. In addition, I feel strongly about ensuring professional development for volunteer management professionals and volunteer with the Association of Volunteer Managers to ensure these opportunities are available.
