Working in close partnership with the CEO and Brand Director to ensure the achievement of all financial objectives through the developing and implementation of effective buying strategies - Devising, establishing and efficiently executing a strategy to deliver a range of garments and subsequently meet revenue targets whilst closely monitoring P&L performance - Overseeing the design team for each season to optimise the balance between commercial & new pieces - Coordinating product selection with buyers to secure sign off in order to meet organisational objectives - Ensuring the setting, sign off and achievement of a robust business supplier strategy - Leading and managing the buying team, creating an environment of high motivation, positive engagement and providing the support required to ensure the delivery of optimal performance - Managing brand trading meetings to consider repeats, re-styles, cancellations and sign off - Maintaining a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of international and UK competitor shopping patterns and activities to anticipate new trends prior to their emergence - Organising and attending regular customer focus groups to maintain a feel for customer opinions Key Achievements- Established new buying and design teams and redefined and improved processes to enhance efficiency - Delivered a revamped SS14 range with the merchandising team and redefined JV’s place in the market - Significantly increased revenue by 21% and LFL profits by 25% in 2014 - Boosted revenue by 8% and LFL profits 11% in 2015 with 2016 currently up 50% LFL with profit up 78%- Successfully introduced the brand into the Dubai and Kuwait market, JLP and HOF through outstanding sales performance and range improvement - Identified and brought in shorter lead times suppliers to speed up order turnaround and enable a faster brand reaction to trends
