ABOUT EMILY LEAK

PR professional with an aptitude for problem-solving. A quick learning, driven, and spirited team player and graduate of the Post-Graduate Public Relations Certificate program at Humber College. I have more than eight years of experience in Public Relations with a proven track record for delivering against program goals, finding unique avenues to ensure thoughtful and relevant brand storytelling, and executing impactful events. With two years of agency experience working across lifestyle, non-profit, and beverage-alcohol brands, I\'ve further developed my project management and client relations skills, excelling at writing, anticipating client and senior team member needs, and media relations. My friendly and professional demeanor enables me to develop relationships with key media members and collaborate with internal and external partners (i.e, clients, influencers, colleagues, and various stakeholders). During my four-year tenure at The Travel Corporation (TTC), I became the lead Canadian PR contact for 10+ brands ranging from luxury hotels to adventure travel companies. In addition, I\'ve previously ghostwritten articles for several consumer publications, including Narcity, Daily Hive, Canadian Travel News, HOLR Magazine, and Curiocity. My clients and brands have also appeared on The Papaya Podcast, The Globe & Mail, 6ix.Buzz, CityTV, eTalk, Men\'s Journal, Gent\'s Post, Yahoo, CTV News, BOLD, and more. My undergraduate major in Psychology helped me realize my passion for people. As a Student Ambassador at Bishop\'s, I learned about brand recognition and management. My member service experience in the financial industry aided the further development of my active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. I love travelling and meeting new people, enjoy writing and editing, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
