ABOUT EMILY WINFIELD

I’m an experienced arts producer with over 18 years working across theatre, dance, and music. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a broad and adaptable skill set, allowing me to take on a wide range of roles with confidence — from creative planning and programming to operational management and stakeholder engagement. I’m a strong communicator who thrives on collaboration and relationship-building.I studied Performing Arts at King Alfred’s College (now the University of Winchester) in and after graduating, returned to Oxford to join Pegasus Theatre. In April 2010, I became Creative Producer, working closely with Artistic Director and CEO Euton Daley MBE. My role included programming the theatre’s professional performance season and producing both in-house and youth theatre productions. I also supported the Creative Learning team to deliver a wide-ranging programme of courses and participatory arts activities.In 2013, I joined Studio Wayne McGregor as Touring Producer, managing the company’s national and international tours and overseeing the delivery of special projects and creative interventions. In 2017, I moved into the role of Company Manager for Tavaziva, a contemporary African dance company led by Bawren Tavaziva. I later took on a freelance Company Manager role with Fabula Collective, a cross-artform company working in theatre, dance and opera. For both organisations, I was the main point of contact — responsible for day-to-day operations, touring logistics, and programme delivery.In 2021, I relocated to Bristol and am now working at Pirate Studios as Charity Partnership Manager. I manage the Studios for All programme, which distributes National Lottery-funded studio time to charities and CICs across England working with disadvantaged young people. Pirate Studios is a global network of 24/7 rehearsal, production, podcast and dance studios, offering accessible creative spaces for artists at every stage of their journey.
