ABOUT EMILY RIA DANIELLE CANTOR
If at first you don’t succeed, try again”. This is a motto I have founded my life and career by. In high school I was told college was out of my reach, I proved them wrong, in college they told me a red brick university might be too much of a reach for me, once again I surpassed the expectations. In my final year of university when I went temporarily blind I was told repeating the year was probably my only option I graduated 2 months later with honours. My first job as a youth leader showed great profession, I started as a volunteer, and worked my way up to day leader and pastoral manager, I always had a part time job while I was in education, when I turned 18 I started working at a pawnbrokers until I left for university. Once at university I stayed active in various societies including Yoga, JSOC, and Anthony Nolan. During my summers I worked in customer service roles in the airport including retail and passenger handling. The positive recommendations from these jobs helped me gain my latest job as a Turn Around. Co-Ordinator, this role allowed me to gain valuable skills including, administration, customer service, preparing and proofing documentation, coordinating in challenging situations and the ability to multitask. Alongside my academic and professional skills I also value the personal touch I add to every task, I believe in a professional capacity that treating people with kindness and respect achieves the best result. I have proven this in every place I’ve worked, in my most recent role I had a great working relationship with all my colleagues and they were always happy to approach me and ask for help when it was necessary which reduced the amount of mistakes made.
