ABOUT ELNAZ KANANI K.

I am a Partner at Deloitte based in Ottawa, specializing in AI- and data-driven transformation. With over 15 years of experience, I help organizations turn complex challenges into scalable, technology-enabled solutions that deliver measurable impact.Trained as a mathematician and holding a Doctorate in Management Sciences from the University of Montreal, I bring a rigorous, problem-solving mindset to the design and deployment of AI solutions. I have worked extensively with public sector, Crown corporations, and private organizations to define data strategies, build AI-enabled capabilities, and operationalize insights at scale. My focus is not just on building models, but on embedding AI into decision-making, modernizing data ecosystems, and ensuring solutions are practical, adoptable, and aligned with business outcomes.While my clients have spanned several industries, I am particularly passionate about advancing AI adoption within the Government of Canada, the country that made my ambitions possible.In parallel, I teach at the Telfer School of Management (University of Ottawa), where I work to bridge the gap between academia and industry and help develop the next generation of data and AI leaders in Canada.Core areas of expertise: AI and data strategy; AI solution design, deployment, and scaling; business development; and large-scale program delivery. Outside of work, I’m a reader, dreamer, animal lover, and rock climber.
