ABOUT TROY ELLIOTT

I am a detail-oriented, motivated, and hard working individual who strives to perform at the highest level. I am able to balance competing priorities within deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. My goal is to make a difference within the organization by leveraging the skills I\'ve acquired in the work environment and contributing to its success through hard work and dedication.As a senior tax manager, I have been responsible for a variety of tax and due diligence engagements for personal, domestic and multinational corporate clients. In this role, my primary focus is in advising my clients on scaling or exiting their businesses while optimizing their overall filing position. This could involve an assessment of the client\'s overall organizational structure, the introduction or consolidation of subsidiaries, advising on business mergers and acquisitions, asset spin-offs, capital gains strips, and quality of earnings assessments depending on the client\'s needs. I am also responsible for leading our cross-border team in assisting international clients who are looking to set up operations in Canada, or Canadian clients who are expanding their operations abroad.Further to the above, I have also assisted clients with various advisory engagements, including cash flow forecasting to determine the viability of various projects, due diligence assessments on acquisition targets, financial accounting under both ASPE and IFRS (including deferred tax provisions), and financial statement consolidation of various members of the corporate group.I have also authored the publication \"US Sales Taxes by State: A Guide for Canadian Book Publishers in the Post-Wayfair Era\", as well as having authored Income Tax Rulings involving multi-wing spin-off butterfly transactions.
