ABOUT ELYSIA SIBLEY

Growing up, my mum told me to spend less time on social media which would never land me a job, and more time focusing on important things, like my maths homework - despite my assertions that I\'d avoid anything maths-related in the future.As it turns out, I ended up working in marketing, so we were both wrong. Before that though, I studied English Language and French at Cardiff University. Highlights of my academic career included:A module on Corpus Analysis, where I realised that running the numbers and analysing what they meant was actually a whole lot of fun. Taking the role of Digital Marketing Manager for the French Society, not once, but twice, and perfecting an Instagram feed that replicated the French flag every three posts. Discovering that flamingos also live in Europe, after spending a year in the sunny city of Montpellier. Meanwhile, in my professional life, I developed many skills in the Hospitality industry, including teamwork and communication, problem solving and initiative, a whole lot of resilience and adaptability, and the ability to scoff a full staff meal with time to spare during a 20 minute break (previously, I was a notoriously slow eater). I also developed my career in marketing through freelance work in both B2C and B2B marketing roles, predominantly focusing on social media, content creation, and copywriting, before eventually settling into a full time B2B Marketing Executive role. And on top of all of this, I still find time for my main passion, writing, by running my own blog, contributing guest posts to other blogs, and attempting to draft a couple of novels that as of this date are still incomplete (one day, though!).
