I\'m a results-driven communications professional with a passion for writing and storytelling. Over the past 10 years, I have had the opportunity to work with organizations in both the public and private sectors – my areas of expertise include strategic communications, brand management, community engagement, and events. Currently, I am the Manager of Communications and Engagement at the Architectural Institute of British Columbia – the regulatory body for the profession of architecture in the province. In this role, I am responsible for leading the organization’s communications strategy. This involves planning and executing multi-channel communication plans that meet business goals. I translate complex ideas into engaging narratives, to ensure the public and registrants are well informed about key initiatives and happenings. This position requires a high level of content output – whether it be building the provincial e-newsletter, drafting topical social media posts, or writing speaking notes for marquee events. I received an award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC – BC Chapter) for demonstrating an impressive understanding of communication strategy combined with creative implementation ideas.
