ABOUT ELIZABETH RILEY BOYER
A marketer, storyteller, and team-builder with 15+ years experience, I\'m currently the Head of Marketing for Kelly Education, the largest provider of substitute teachers in the United States and a $1 billion division of Kelly Services. At Kelly Education, we believe the talented people who work in our schools are crucial to unlocking student potential. We connect great people to great work in schools, from substitute teaching and therapy roles to tutoring and school nurse positions. Every day, we help more than K-12 school districts address their recruiting, hiring, and workforce management needs. Prior to Kelly, I was the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for ThinkCERCA, a Chicago-based ed tech startup that helped students become better writers and critical thinkers. As ThinkCERCA\'s first marketing hire and leader of the entire marketing department, I led the company\'s overall marketing, brand, and communications strategy alongside a collaborative, empathetic, and diverse team. I was part of the founding team at Impact Engine, Chicago\'s first social impact investment fund, where I launched, managed, and marketed the organization\'s three accelerator programs for early-stage social enterprises. As part of this work, I oversaw Impact Engine\'s operations, finances, marketing and communications strategy, programming, events, and community outreach. Impact Engine has since grown into a venture capital and private equity firm with $240 million under management. I also spent three years at Chicago magazine, most recently as its Digital Engagement Editor, managing the company’s social media and reader engagement initiatives. Throughout my career, I have taken on work as a freelance content marketer and strategist, writer, and communications consultant. My writings on impact entrepreneurship have been featured by the Huffington Post and Crain’s Chicago Business.Specialties: K-12 marketing; B2B/SaaS marketing; marketing automation; marketing and brand strategy; inbound marketing; lead nurturing; email marketing; content marketing; storytelling; PR and communications; writing and editing; social media; and community engagement.
