ABOUT ELIZABETH LAFONTAINE
With over 15 years of experience in the financial and workforce development sectors, I am a passionate and results-oriented business analyst who strives to deliver innovative and effective solutions for my clients and stakeholders. My core competencies include process improvement, data analysis, project management, and policy compliance. As the Business Analyst Program Lead for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other programs at Geographic Solutions, I leverage my extensive knowledge and skills to design, implement, and support system enhancements that meet the evolving needs and challenges of the workforce industry. In my current role, I work closely with a team of software engineers, developers, project managers, and QA staff to formulate and define system scopes and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements. I also review changes in federal and state regulations, determine their impact, and establish procedures for compliance. Additionally, I translate business requirements into concise system requirements for use by the software architects. Some of my notable achievements include developing and monitoring statewide policies, goals, and objectives for the youth employment programs funded by WIOA Title I, and implementing a new case management system for these programs.
