ABOUT ELIZABETH GRIST
Elizabeth is a current Fulbright Future Scholar, conducting research at Monash Addiction Research Centre (MARC) in Melbourne, Australia. Elizabeth graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University in 2022 where she majored in Chemistry and Classics and minored in Poverty and Human Capability Studies while on the pre-medical track. Elizabeth has devoted her early career to understanding and researching opioid addiction both in 2021 in the United States under Dr. Caitlin E. Martin of Virginia Commonwealth University, and currently under Dr. Suzanne Nielsen at MARC. Elizabeth has published a first author paper titled \"Harm Reduction Approach to Increasing Self-reported Safe Medication Storage among Pregnant and Parenting People Receiving Opioid Use Disorder Treatment,\" and is currently working under Dr. Nielsen on a project titled \"Enhancing Pharmacist Involvement in Care for Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence.\" Upon completion of her Fulbright, Elizabeth plans to return to the US to continue her career in addiction medicine. In her free time Elizabeth enjoys running, hiking and needlepointing.
