ABOUT ELIZABETH ANNE CASILLAS

I am currently a MA/MBA candidate at Southern Methodist University with a concentration in Real Estate, graduating in Spring ‘25. My undergraduate career concluded at Texas Christian University where I studied Interior Design. After graduating in 2020, I began my career at a high-end residential interior design firm called Cathy Kincaid Interiors as a design associate working with project managers, contractors, and architects to renovate, build and design interiors for homes in the Dallas area. After a year and a half of experience, I was offered the position of project manager. Since the beginning of last year, I have managed international and local projects, working on schematic designs, floor plans, construction documents, fabrics, custom furniture, hard finish selections, daily logistic communication with vendors and clients, and building budgets. The experience I have had thus far has been nurturing the design aspect of my career, however, my interest in business inspired me to pursue my MA and MBA at SMU. After graduation I am looking to join a CRE firm as an analyst where I can continue to build upon the financial and managerial skill sets the dual degree has provided.
