ABOUT ELIF PAINAIK
My name is Elif Painaik and I am a rising junior at UT Austin pursuing a double major in Government and Economics as well as a Certificate in Core Texts and Ideas and minors in Law, Justice, and Society and Business Foundations. I recently began working at the office of Travis County Judge Andy Brown in January.I plan on going to law school after I graduate in May 2027 with my bachelor\'s degree. I want to work as a criminal prosecutor and eventually work in politics in hopes of sparking progress in our nation through legislation.I am constantly seeking new opportunities to expand my skills in both law and politics. It\'s rare that I come across an opportunity I say no to. Ultimately, my goal is to help improve both my community and my world, and my career is centered around the greater good of society.At UT, I am active in several organizations. I am a member of University Democrats, the Undergraduate Law Journal, and Texas Women in Economics, among many other things. I love being involved on campus and helping out my community!In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my two cats, watching Gilmore Girls, and playing the violin.
