ABOUT ELIE HADDAD

I am naturally curious about people. I want to know what makes them tick. And this is no different when it comes to my clients. I learn what they care about, and how they view success personally and professionally. This gives me insight into how they make decisions and what approaches will work for them, which helps me develop big-picture solutions that go beyond the technical challenge at hand. When I offer an approach, they say “That’s it! That’s just what we need to do!” While my technical mind has been with me since birth, my interest in all kinds of people has grown with life experience, allowing my creative side to take flight. My own motivation is results. I engage my right and left brain thinking to create approaches that may be unexpected, but are always practical. I have been managing large environmental projects for the private and public sector for more than 25 years. In my current role at Haley & Aldrich, I am responsible for overall project strategy and liability, regulatory compliance, balancing stakeholder needs, technical approaches, as well as budgeting, scheduling, tracking, and providing necessary resources for each project. I am a Green-belt Lean practitioner and use this expertise to facilitate improvements in internal and external work processes. I facilitate Kaizens with global companies to develop value stream mapping for engineering design functions, operation and maintenance processes, and report sequencing. I also coach several people who are on their Lean journeys. In addition, I am a faculty member of the Northwestern Environmental Training Center, for which I teach a vapor intrusion course at locations around the U.S. I am also a member of Sustainable Remediation Forum, the International Environmental Aerospace Group, and the Groundwater Resources Association of California.
