ABOUT ETHAN ENSLER

I\'m approaching a decade of experience as a software engineer in healthcare and biotech, as a self-taught programmer having come in with a background in biomedical engineering. I\'ve also been a startup founder and engineering manager; at times I\'ve stepped up to be product manager and UI/UX designer when needed. Through it all, I\'ve stayed laser-focused on making a positive impact on people\'s lives, whether that be the end user or a colleague.Philosophically, I\'m a believer in incrementalism; some of my favorite career challenges have been how to isolate the bad old stuff, polish up the good old stuff, and keep it all running while layering in the new stuff.I\'d say my strengths are: lack of fear of diving head-first into new domains (or legacy codebases) and learning quickly; attention to detail, but understanding where it matters; and bringing humility to every fight.Dump of languages/frameworks/technologies- Backend: Python (Django & Flask), Ruby (Rails), Node.js, Kotlin, C#- Frontend: Javascript/Typescript/React, GraphQL/Apollo, Redux, React Native, Angular 1, Backbone, jQuery- DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Github Actions, Jenkins- Databases: PostgreSQL, Datomic
