I am working on the latest built in 2016 Amphion rigs I am part of the Deep drilling group here in Kuwait. We are drilling deep dangerous wells with high probability of H2S and very high pressures. I was part of the commissioning team in Dubai to get the rigs ready to head into Kuwait. These rigs are state of the art and utilize offshore equipment on a very large land rig. I maintain all electrical equipment, instrumentation, VFD drives, PLC\'s, Air conditioning, gas detection, fire systems, Soft torque, and Amphion controlled VFD centrifuges. This rig has a 750 Ton TDS8SA NOV Top drive, Three 2200 HP Mud pumps, and a 3600 HP Draw works all VFD controlled with 5 CAT 3516 B\'s powering it all. There is a Forum automated catwalk, an ST-120 Roughneck and a 15K BOP stack with control and monitoring systems. These are among the nicest land rigs I have ever worked on. We are using ABB and Yaskawa VFD drives, Omron and Siemens PLC\'s, and of course the Beckhoff Single board computers with the Java and Python based code loaded. I also maintain the ATOS proportional controlled hydraulics and the Barteck proportional controlled pneumatic valves and calibrations. This rig also has a soft torque system (stick slip) installed on the Top Drive control system as well as a link tilt management system to prevent collision with the Monkey board.
