As Assistant Director of Education and Engagement in the Gender-based Violence Reform Branch (GBVR) of the Department of Education, I support in leading national efforts to embed accountability and cultural change across Australia’s higher education sector. The GBVR leads regulation and compliance of the National Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence (National Code). The National Code aims to address the high rates and significant impacts of gender-based violence in the higher education sector through clear and enforceable standards. I have previously served for two years as the Gender Equality Advisor for Victoria Police and contributed to Western Health\'s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.I am a dynamic individual with a deep passion for creativity, human rights, inclusion, and diversity. My extensive background in communications, particularly within the humanitarian, diversity, and inclusion sectors, has allowed me to lead and manage teams effectively. Additionally, I have excelled in the digital realm, assuming roles such as Editor in Chief and Marketing Manager for various platforms.I possess emerging expertise in workplace gender equality and my commitment to it is evident in my growing expertise in the field. I am constantly seeking opportunities to foster growth, equity, and inclusivity in both my community and the broader world.Beyond my professional pursuits, I am also an accomplished author, currently working on my fourth novel, and contributing original articles to numerous printed and online magazines.Overall, my diverse skill set and dedication to positive change make me a valuable asset in championing transformative initiatives.
