ABOUT ED EVANS

Ed Evans is a builder of high performance teams, an information security executive leader for a variety of industries and verticals, and he is excited to share his passion for vulnerability management (VM). As a former Specialist Master within Cyber Risk Services at Deloitte Advisory he demonstrates deep technical knowledge by relying on expertise gained as an employee of Internet Security Systems (ISS), and personal experience with enterprise clients performing global VM deployments.Ed has been developing cutting-edge solutions to address business opportunities since 1998, with the last two decades focused on information security. He has significant experience writing security policies aligned with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), creating and delivering security awareness presentations, risk assessments, VM and penetration testing, and compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements, as well as control testing and compliance with federal bank regulators such as the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).Mr. Evans earned VM certifications from vendors including QualysGuard Certified Specialist and ISS Certified Specialist, as well as Global Information Assurance Certification called GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) and Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from the SANS Institute. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). In 2009 Mr. Evans earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Keller Graduate School of Management.As an audiophile, Ed also has a strong background in voiceovers, digital audio editing, recording engineering, and several years of work in public and commercial radio.
