ABOUT EBONY ROWE

A driven problem solver, linguist and bookworm, I am a final year Modern Languages student, with a focus on French and German. As part of my degree I have focused on both the cultural and historical intricacies of French cinema, French politics and the era of Germany under the GDR. During my bachelors degree, I have been fortunate enough to spend my year abroad working in Paris as a Business Developer for COGEP International for a period of six months. Throughout this time, I developed a deeper understanding for global business dynamics and refining my skills in strategic development. Beyond the technical skills, my year abroad also strengthened my adaptability and communication. Working and studying in a different country challenged me to quickly adapt to new ways of collaborating and working, enhancing my ability to work in diverse teams. In addition to my academics, I have previously interned as a Luxury Beauty Assistant at HEARST UK (ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar UK – online and print), where I analysed and forecasted upcoming trends based on my analysis of catwalks. This role immersed me into the fast-moving world of Luxury Beauty and provided me with solid analytical skills as well as a keen eye for trends. My trend forecasts were instrumental in planning content strategies for the publications, ensuring that they were both ahead of the moment and echoed the needs of their target audience. Furthermore, my role at HEARST UK taught me the importance of balancing both my creativity and statistical analysis.
