ABOUT EAMON OROURKE

Eamon uses Design Thinking and Agile Design methodologies to enable organisations to achieve their purpose, innovate, and change the experience they deliver to customers and stakeholders.Originally from a visual communication design and brand background, Eamon cut his teeth as a behaviourally obsessed creative in identity development and advertising design roles. By the turn of the millennium he had transitioned into digital experience design and embraced applied human-centred design methods and processes. For the past decade he has been focused on building his consulting practice as a specialist participatory designer, gaining deep applied experience using Design Thinking, Agile Design and MG Taylor methodologies to solve service design and digital transformation challenges at scale for public and private organisations. He has first hand experience with organisational resistance to new ways of working and is a capable facilitator and master class coach.Eamon has been a founder/owner of both a tech start-up and a distillery, worked in large corporates, as well as an assortment of agency and consulting roles. A seasoned professional, he can calibrate approach and solution to fit the scale and complexity of the challenge, with a true focus on actionable outcomes. Eamon has solved customer experience, product and service design challenges for organisations such as ACC, New Zealand Post, Inland Revenue, Ministry of Education, Teachers Council, ESR, Fire NZ, Hawkes Bay DHB, Waka Kotahi NZTA and BNZ (to name a few). He has a deep fascination with driving organisational change through insight driven design, using cross-functional collaboration and participatory design to align teams with purpose, build products and services that customers want to use, and leave a legacy of capability uplift.
