ABOUT DWAYNE CRANKFIELD

Bilingual in English and Spanish, I bring over 15 years of experience in education, youth development, and community advocacy—alongside five years as a licensed real estate agent in Charleston, South Carolina. Originally from Detroit, I moved to Charleston during middle and high school, eventually earning a double major in Sociology and Spanish from Coker University. I also studied abroad at the Universidad de Costa Rica, where I became fluent in Spanish and deepened my passion for service through international volunteer work.My professional journey began in education, where I served as a teacher, coach, and advocate for both English- and Spanish-speaking families. I am a licensed soccer coach through the U.S. Soccer Federation and have founded nonprofit youth soccer programs. I also collaborate with local organizations such as the Lowcountry Food Bank to expand opportunities and provide essential support to underserved communities.Over the years, I’ve spoken at local events focused on fatherhood, parent engagement, and equity in education, and I continue to serve as a consultant in youth and parental engagement efforts across Charleston. Now, as a Realtor with Keller Williams, I combine my background in education with financial literacy to help clients navigate one of the biggest investments of their lives—homeownership. Real estate allows me to be both an advocate and an educator, helping people secure not just a property, but a safe, stable space to call home. I’m also the author of Shelter for the Soul: Safe Spaces in Community and Everyday Life, a book inspired by my life experiences and professional journey. It explores how to create healing, grounding spaces in our homes, relationships, and communities. Read the book here: connect if you’re passionate about real estate, education, safe spaces, youth development, bilingual advocacy, or community service
