ABOUT DUNCAN WINTER
Over my career I’ve held a number of management positions in businesses that supply the UK Roofing Industry. I am proud to have started my career in roofing ‘on the tools’ which gave me a fantastic grounding in the practicalities of installing a building roof and I regularly refer back to those principles.Today, I pour those 15 years of roofing experience into my current role as the Commercial Director for SIG Roofing, which is the largest supplier of Roofing materials in the UK. SIG Roofing has 105 roofing merchant branches spread across the UK and these branches truly support their local customers, the roofing contractor, stocking products that are in demand locally so they can be delivered to site at speed.My role day to day focusses on SIG Roofing and that is all about making continual improvements within the Commercial team to support the business plan and strategy. My responsibility still also covers Flex-R, SR Timber and SIG Industrial Roofing, all of which are specialist businesses that are part of the SIG Group. Here my involvement is in a strategic support capacity for their management teams.
